Your Surgeon’s Qualifications Matter. Here’s Why.

In this post, I would like to highlight why it’s so important to ensure that your surgeon is qualified to perform the procedures that he or she is offering. I like to focus on my qualifications so that I can help my Albany plastic surgery patients feel confident about their elected procedure.

When choosing a surgeon, you’ll want to make sure that he or she is board-certified. I am certified by both The American Board of Plastic Surgery and The American Board of Surgery. Being board-certified is important because it means that the doctor has voluntarily undergone rigorous testing to prove the requisite skill set in his or her chosen field.

It’s extremely important that you check for this certification, because any licensed physician can legally perform cosmetic surgery, regardless of their training.

I am highly trained in all the procedures that I offer but today, I’d like to focus on breast augmentation. Here’s why patients considering breast implants here in Albany, NY benefit from my experience:

  • I have performed more than 2,000 breast procedures. These procedures have exposed me to a variety of different situations, including the unique needs of each patient. I like to take the time to talk to each one of my patients extensively so that I can fully understand your needs and create a plan that works for you and your body.

Getting to know each one of my patients as an individual helps me ensure that the procedure, and the results, agree with your lifestyle. Before every procedure, I try to be as transparent as possible. I make sure that you understand the ways the body changes over time, and I will never make any unrealistic promises.

  • I try my best to offer a safe and relaxing approach during every breast augmentation, so that every patient feels comfortable and safe. And part of that approach is knowing the advantages of working with the right team by my side.

During every procedure, I am assisted by a board-certified anesthesiologist at a fully accredited surgery center. Patients at this facility are also under the care of nurses who have extensive knowledge surrounding the overall care for breast augmentation patients. These nurses always provide an inviting, comfortable atmosphere throughout the duration of your surgery.

Having a wealth of experience is equally important for all of the procedures a surgeon offers, both surgical and nonsurgical. I’d like to briefly mention my experience with WarmSculpting and TruSculpt iD, both increasingly popular noninvasive treatment. My ability to perform other fat removal procedures has allowed me to provide patients with great results. I am also proud to say that I was one of the first doctors in the Capital Region to offer this treatment, and I’ve used that extra time to better understand the treatment and maximize the results for my patients.

If you take anything away from this post, I ask that you please remember to do your research when selecting your plastic surgeon. A board-certified surgeon will provide you with better results, professional integrity, and increased procedural safety.

One last thing: If you are considering a breast augmentation, don’t forget that we offer a free BOTOX® or LATISSE® trial following your breast augmentation.
